G19s kortere magasin er ikke i alle tilfeller kompatibelt med G17-magasinbunnplater -- total lengde og bunndimensjoner er forskjellige. I konkurranse brukes G19 i Production, og magasinbunnplaten er den delen av omladningsoppsettet som påvirker hvor godt magasinet faller ut og hvordan trakten lukkes.
